Puppy Paralysis
(Fibrocartilaginous Embolus, FCE)

The IWHG is currently collating incidences of fibrocartilagenous embolism (FCE, puppy paralysis). Once enough case studies are collected we will analyse the information with an emphasis on finding successful treatment protocols. Irish Wolfhounds are the only breed where this occurs in puppies as most breeds are affected at around five or six.

We hope that this research will discover the cause/s of FCE and determine the most effective treatment for a positive outcome.
