At eight, the dog is added to the Super-Veterans' Register. When the hound passes away a beautiful certificate, suitable for framing, is sent to the owner to commemorate such a long life, and the dog is added to the Certificate Holders' Register.
Wolfhounds that have already departed but that lived to seven or more are also eligible.
To ensure the programme is robust, we need supporting documentation
in all cases. This could be a vet's bill or letter, a marked-up show catalogue,
heart test certificate - anything that shows your dog
was alive on that date.
When submitting your application, a photo of your venerable hound
to add to our roll of honour would be very welcome.
